Mommy – “Nope, not your doctor.”
Charlotte – “Your doctor Mommy?”
Mommy – “Nope, not my doctor.”
Charlotte – “Daddy’s doctor?”
Mommy – “Nope, not daddy’s.”
Charlotte – “Layla’s doctor?”
Mommy – “Nope.”
Charlotte – “Must be somebody’s doctor!”

Charlotte – “Mommy you like to pick your nose?”
Mommy – “No I don’t like to pick my nose, now please go potty.”
Charlotte – “You like to pick my nose?”
Mommy – “No I don’t like to pick your nose, please go potty.”
Charlotte – “You like to watch me pick my nose?”
Mommy – “NO! For the love of God, please stop picking your nose and go potty!”
Charlotte – “Don’t have to go potty!”
Maryland – August 2017

We sure had a good time in Maryland for the 2017 Cousin-Palooza! For 3 days we celebrated with our family, including Brycen, Izzi, and Grayson. We went to the Baltimore National Aquarium where we visited stingrays, fish, turtles, and crabs. We were even lucky enough to play with the dolphins one-on-one in their pool – so much fun dancing and throwing ice to them! We also visited the National Zoo in Washington D.C. The zoo was filled with wonderful animals including lions, tigers, and bears 🙂 To cap off the trip we celebrated Brycen’s 5th Birthday with slip and slide, a water balloon fight and a dinosaur cake! Needless to say the three days was filled with laughter, smiles and fun xoxoxo
Aunt Melissa’s Celebration of Life

On May 20, 2017 we hosted a Celebration of Life for your Aunt Melissa 🙂 Family and friends joined together to celebrate her life, share our favorite memories and shed some tears. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful tribute to your aunt. I know that she is up in heaven smiling down on us – we miss her so much and not a day passes that we don’t think about her 🙂

The past few weeks have been difficult and stressful for Mommy, and one day when you’re older you will hopefully understand. Mommy’s sister, your Aunt Melissa, passed away on March 19, 2017 after battling Sarcoma for the past three years. She was only 37 years old, and was taken much too soon. I miss her dearly, but I’m more sad that you didn’t get to spend more time with her. She loved all of her nieces and nephews, and I have no doubt that she is watching over you and making sure you are out of harms way. Her passing has taught me even more that life is short and you should never take life for granted. Remember to tell your loved ones “I love you” because you never know if it will be the last time. I love you Charlotte Grace and I am so lucky to be your Mommy. Your smile melts my heart, your laugh brings me joy, and your hugs have helped ease my pain and sadness xoxoxoxoxo
